The purpose of the project is to provide a reliable means of providing potable water to mostly tribal villages around Palghar area of Thane District, Maharashtra State. The villagers are mostly living below the ‘poverty line’. There is an acute scarcity of clean drinking water in the area each year. We have already provided such systems in villages comprising of a deep bore well, pump, overhead tank and distribution taps.

The farming community women folk of the area, covering about 500 villages are organized into 30 Mahila Mandals. A monthly camp is held for planting and care of new crops. Subsidized seeds and other inputs are provided.
