Dear Mid-Towners,
I am delighted to share the great news that our Club has been awarded the first prize in the Narendra Ballal Bulletin Competition. My hearty congratulations go out to our editor, Anil Kejriwal, and his whole team for all the hard work, inspiration, and creativity that has gone into deserving this award. Well done, team!
Any concerns one may have harboured about the future of our Club were allayed at our recent closeddoor meeting. We had an excellent attendance of very engaged members. We enjoyed a highly spirited discussion on these topics—timings of weekly meetings (there is a solid consensus to make one meeting a month an evening meeting); venue of meetings (we have directed a small board committee to evaluate a list of meeting venues in addition to our much-loved Taj); attendance (we agreed that proposers should actively encourage the attendance of the members they introduced to the Club); and future planning (Anil Ambo and Ashwin Shah shared some visionary thoughts and have committed to lead a strategic review of the Club’s future).
