Subject: “URBAN TRANSPORT IN MUMBAI – TODAY & THE FUTURE”

Dr. P. C. Sehgal is the former Managing Director of Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation Ltd. (MRVC) that was entrusted with enhancing and modernizing Mumbai’s suburban rail transport system. An organization where nothing much happened until he took over as MD, under his stewardship, MRVC modernized the Railways infrastructure in suburban section of Western & Central Railways enhancing capacity, improving efficiency and introducing new trains with latest ‘State-of-art’ 3 phase traction technology having various advanced features. He retired from MRVC after a 6 year stint in 2011 and is presently a Consultant on Rail Transportation with Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd.
